When invited to work with This Old House, Lisa was tasked with designing a room for a young girl. The custom-designed bed, reminiscent of Cinderella's pumpkin coach, boasts a twinkling chandelier, repeating the whimsical graphic on the drapery panels and providing overhead lighting in a room with an unusually low ceiling. A complex trompe l'oiel wall treatment leads one to believe that an aged damask wall covering has been draped with an overlay of sheer silken fabric, when in fact the finish is simple wall paint hand applied by a decorative painting artist.
