This playroom, designed for four young children of Italian heritage, provides them with a creative environment in which to play and grow. The 360 degree mural of Venice, painted by Lisa, is childlike without being childish, appealing to teens and adults as well. A clock tower with real working hands offers a unique teaching tool while giving a third dimension to the mural. All furniture is low to the ground and is durable and child-friendly. The more "adult" light fixture and vintage rug allow this room to comfortably sit on the main floor of a gracious Newport, RI home directly opposite the family’s formal dining room.
